Our Team

Office Manager

Chris

Chris has been part of our team since December 1999.  She started as a receptionist and has since been promoted to office manager.  Chris enjoys spending time with her family, furthering her education, traveling, cooking and reading.

Technician Supervisor

Jenny

Jenny started with Dr. Villarreal as a technician at The Animal Clinic Town Center in June 2001.  She has since worked her way up to management. She and her husband have one son, and a black lab named Levi. In her spare time she loves to be outdoors, boating, beach, etc, with family and friends.

Technicians

Courtney

Courtney started with Collingswood Animal Hospital in 2002 as a kennel technician and was quickly promoted to a technician. She loves our chihuahua patients and has several of her own at home. She enjoys four-wheeling, boating, camping, and spending time with her husband.

Ryan  

Ryan started as a volunteer in high school in the kennel. After leaving for a year Ryan returned to the kennel and was soon promoted to a technician. He loves to camp, write, go on cruises, and spending his free time with his close friends. Ryan is a published author and currently has two poems featured collections published in France. He loves dogs and cats, but has a growing fondness of our avian pets.

Kim 

Kim came to Port Charlotte from the East Coast of Florida. Her life long love of animals lead her to Collingswood Animal Hospital. She has been with us three years now and loves not only helping and caring for animals but the relationships she builds with clients. When not at Collingswood Animal Hospital you can find her spending time with her husband and beautiful daughter around the pool. She loves creating new recipes, gardening, and flower arranging, entertaining family and friends, reading, make-up, and communing with nature. Mostly she loves to laugh and surrounds herself with happy people.

Sandra  

Sandra started with Collingswood Animal Hospital as a kennel assistant in July 2008.  She feels she has found her home here with our team. She has always had a wide variety of pets growing up. In her spare time she loves to attend car shows, work on her truck, going out to eat with friends, and taking her dogs to the dog parks.

Candice, Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) 

Candice started with Collingswood Animal Hospital after interning to become a certified veterinary technician. She was certified through Saint Petersburg College in May, and passed her CVT boards in July. She enjoys dancing, going to the beach, pilates, and shopping.

Receptionists

Kim  

Kim has been a receptionist at Collingswood Animal Hospital since March of 2007. Kim knew she always wanted to work with animals since she was a child. She loves working at Collingswood Animal Hospital because not only does she get to work with animals and help bond them with their owners through education; she also enjoys working with people who are like family to her.  Kim has a daughter and a son, whom she adores. Kim's furry family includes three dogs, a chinchilla and a bird. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, taking care of her horses, fishing and playing softball.

Paula

Paula became a member of Collingswood Animal Hospital in January 2006. When not working, Paula's passions include going to the beach, playing golf, photography, and baking organic treats and cakes for dogs. She loves to travel and spend time outdoors with her two dogs, Goo Goo and Optimus Prime.

Kennel Supervisor

Denise

Denise's love for animals brought her to Collingswood Animal Hospital. Since starting here in March 2007 she has been promoted to kennel supervisor.  She also loves to help out the technicians when they need another set of hands. She has a wide variety of pets of her own at home.
